Electricians History
My name is Tony Shailer, and I set up A D Sparks in 2001 when I realised that there was a gap in the market for an electrician, not only to install new installations, rewire old properties, carry out the larger jobs, etc., but also to carry out a local service, to be on-call for problems, inspections, reports and testing for landlords, fault finding, and most importantly, to carry out the smaller jobs.
Having served as an apprentice for a well known electrical contractor in Ascot, I was fortunate enough to be trained on domestic, commercial and industrial sectors and I ended my apprenticeship at Eton College. I have been in the electrical industry since 1977, and found myself working in all sorts of environments such as Eton College (as an apprentice), Wimbledon tennis club (electrician), Woking town centre (charge hand), Vauxhalls in Luton (foreman), Farnborough airport (foreman), Harrods in London (electrician), Imperial College London (electrician) - to name but a few. So I would like to think I can put this experience to some use locally, although on a somewhat smaller scale.
